Quality Assurance Introduction
Information about the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Directorate:
The Ministry of Higher Education established the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Directorate in (1391), with the aim of developing the development plan of higher education in all universities and higher education institutions (public and private) in the country and achieving quality and accreditation, and in this regard, it aimed to achieve access to the standards set for quality assurance by taking advantage of various international academic programs. For this purpose, it has organized various academic and training workshops for quality assurance officials inside and outside the country, so that positive and good results can be achieved in the field of quality in all universities and higher education institutions (public and private) and access to all the set standards in the future.
The Quality Assurance Directorate was established in (1393) at Mirwais Nikah Higher Education Institution, which is responsible for quality improvement in this field by the officials of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Directorate. The department and then the department have organized workshops for administrative staff and lecturers, who are all familiar with it to the fullest extent.
Self-Assessment:
The Institutional Quality Assurance Department carries out its own assessments of faculties, academic and administrative programs, infrastructure and achievements in order to meet the quality assurance and improvement standards set by the Ministry of Higher Education and obtain accreditation. In this regard, the Institutional Quality Assurance and Improvement Committee and the Quality Assurance and Improvement Committee of all faculties conduct a self-assessment process in the relevant faculties and send the results in the form of a report to the Institutional Quality Assurance and Improvement Department. The Institutional Quality Assurance and Improvement Department prepares an institutional-level self-assessment report based on the self-assessment reports of all faculties and sends it to the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department of the Ministry of Higher Education.
Accreditation:
After the self-assessment process, the accreditation process, which is carried out by the Higher Education The accreditation process is initiated by the Ministry of Higher Education’s Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department. In this regard, the Ministry of Higher Education’s Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department informs the institution about the accreditation process and sends a review team to it on a specific date. After the review, the team prepares a review report and sends it to the Ministry of Higher Education’s Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department. After this process, the Ministry of Higher Education’s Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department shares its desired outcome with the institution (either the institution has achieved accreditation or the institution needs more work to achieve accreditation).
Accreditation: Accreditation is the process of reviewing higher education institutions and programs. In order to ensure and improve quality. It also ensures that they meet the quality standards of faculty, teaching, research, service delivery, and infrastructure. Credibility, sustainability, achievements, and compliance with applicable laws are the results of the success of an institution or program in being accredited.
Candidate for accreditation: There are three stages to the accreditation process, with the requirements of each stage having to be met before applying for accreditation. Stages 2 and 3 have higher requirements than Stage 1.
Standards: These are the requirements and requirements set by the Ministry of Higher Education for a candidate for accreditation. These standards specify the requirements that must be met at each stage of engagement (stage 1, 2 or 3) or the requirements and requirements that must be met by organizations or educational programs in order to receive accreditation from the accreditation office. These standards include the requirements for the quality, effectiveness, achievements and competence of an institution or curriculum.
Institutional accreditation: The institution has been fully accredited with quality improvement and quality assurance requirements to comply with existing quality standards and effectiveness in terms of faculty, teaching, research, service delivery, infrastructure, facilities, activities, achievements.
Program accreditation: The curriculum External reviews and assessments are conducted to ensure that the quality of teaching, research, service delivery, infrastructure, activities, sustainability, achievements and compliance with the current quality standards and effectiveness are met. This is ensured by the applicable laws, which pay special attention to the accreditation of the program and programs. Such as: teacher training, law, medicine, engineering and professional programs.
Higher education accreditation:
Mirwais Nika Higher Education Institution was evaluated by the APR team in 1397, which was successful in the first phase of quality improvement and the second phase was re-evaluated by the APR team in 1399, which received the highest score at the Afghan level and is now a candidate for the third phase
Eleven quality improvement criteria:
1. Mission and strategy: ¬The educational institution has a clear mission and strategic plan, which all stakeholders understand and has the basis for decision-making and resource allocation.
2. Contribution to the development of society: Educational The institution makes a valuable contribution to the development of the community, region and the nation. This is reflected in its strategic objectives and informs the decision-making and actions of its staff and students.
3. Governance, leadership and administration: The governance, leadership and administration of the educational institution are focused on the achievement of its mission and strategic objectives.
4. Financial resources and management: The resources of the educational institution are used to implement its mission and strategic plan.
