Law and Political Science faculty Introduction
In 2011, the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences began its activities as a basic faculty within the structure of Mirwais Nikah Higher Education Institution. This faculty was the first center for professional and specialized training in legal and political sciences in the southeastern zone. Until now, there was no faculty for professional training in these sciences in this zone. When this faculty began its activities, it was welcomed by a large number of students, accompanied by a number of scientific and academic cadres, it attracted hundreds of students and began to accelerate its scientific activities.
The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences has two departments (Law, Political Science, and International Relations). When this faculty was established, its first department was (Administration and Diplomacy and Judiciary and Prosecution), but after 2019, a new curriculum was created for the professional and specialized training of students. According to this curriculum, students will be trained in specialized departments from the beginning of the semester. Therefore, the characteristics of this faculty have now been renewed and students begin their specialized training from the first semester.
The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Mirwais Nikah Higher Education Institution has graduated 17 classes so far. It has proven its impact in the southeastern zone. Therefore, this faculty has a long-term goal according to its five-year strategic plan, to participate in the development of society by training professional and academic cadres and to prove its impact in the ongoing process of development at the national level.
After its establishment, the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences began its work according to the official and approved curriculum by the Ministry of Higher Education, but later this curriculum was changed based on the opinions of stakeholders (students, academic staff, graduates, employers, and related sectors). The training of academic staff in this faculty is based on the needs of the labor market. Therefore, graduates of this faculty have a significant place in the labor market so far. They have largely met the administrative needs of the southeastern zone. Currently, graduates and trained professional and specialized cadres of this faculty are engaged in jobs in different parts of the country. They have not only found their way into the administrative structures of the Afghan government, but are also engaged in work with international and regional organizations in national and international positions. In addition, the quantitative and qualitative effectiveness of this faculty has increased the capacities in institutions, and the work efficiency has increased. In the judicial and judicial In the fields of professional approach, the process of accessing justice in society has been accelerated.
Currently, there are 27 professional and experienced academic staff members in the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, 60% of whom are master’s professors. Also, the student-teacher ratio in the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences is in accordance with the standards set by the Ministry of Higher Education. Each class in this faculty has a supervising professor who holds regular meetings with his students. The departments are managed through the council of each department. The professors of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences have published hundreds of research articles in national magazines and prestigious international journals.

The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences wants to train academic cadres in the legal and political fields in accordance with international standards and the needs of the Afghan society, and to be recognized as a reputable faculty at the national level by providing scientific-research activities and professional services in these fields.
Mission:
The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences trains academic cadres at the national and international levels through advanced technology, standardized education, and a quality education system, so that the youth of the country can achieve their academic and professional goals and become a source of service to the country by acquiring education and skills.
Goals:
The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences has two types of goals in accordance with the applicable laws of the country, the Civil Higher Education Law, higher education regulations, bills and procedures, the strategic plan and statute of Mirwais Nikah Higher Education Institution, and the strategic plan of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, one type is the overall goal and the other is the sub-goal:
First: Overall or general goal
To establish standard teaching of legal and political science in accordance with internationally recognized standards and the needs of society;
Increasing the capacity of applicants and students in accordance with the demands of society, the government and international institutions;
Upgrading higher education programs in the fields of law, politics and administration from bachelor’s to master’s degrees;
Upgrading teaching standards and the teaching process in accordance with international standards;
Providing the best leaders, managers and professional legal cadres for the government and society;
Promoting the culture of research and producing knowledge through standardized research in accordance with contemporary and international norms and standards, with the existing mental and physical capabilities.
Second: Sub-goal
Standardizing and implementing the curriculum and curriculum in accordance with the needs of the Afghan society and international standards, in accordance with the procedures and regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education;
Promoting the mindset of study in society through scientific-informational seminars, courses and programs and creating a public intellectual bed for the development of society through knowledge;
Creating healthy competition in legal and political education;
Creating the necessary facilities for the qualitative enhancement of the relevant departments;
Creating the necessary facilities to strengthen the programs of the Legal Clinic and the Political Science Club and to conduct the necessary and best programs for the effectiveness of the society.
